Production

Casa de Vila Nova is situated in the Sousa sub-region within Portugal’s Vinho Verde DOC, an area shaped by the cool winds from the Atlantic Ocean. This unique terroir, with its distinct soils, microclimate, and winegrowing heritage, sets it apart from other wine regions globally. The hand-harvested grapes, packed in 20 kg boxes, are quickly transported to the winery where they are destemmed and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats to preserve the fresh and lively character of the wine.

Tasting Notes

This Alvarinho offers bright citrus aromas with a refreshing, vibrant palate. Flavours of ripe lime and textured stone fruit are complemented by a smooth softness and a touch of minerality, which is characteristic of this variety.
