Description

For the past two decades, Viva Vino has been crafting wines in the rugged landscapes of southern France. Our journey has been one of exploration. From the foothills beneath the majestic Pyrénées to the coastal gorges of the Mediterranean, we’ve travelled alongside friends and exceptional growers who share a deep respect for the land they call home. These remarkable people and places are the heart of our winemaking inspiration.

At Viva Vino, we focus on creating wines that reflect the essence of this extraordinary region - small-batch, authentically crafted wines from old-vine Grenache, Carignan, Malbec, Cinsault, Viognier, and more. These wines are a true expression of the wild, untamed spirit of the land.

Viticulture

Our Viognier grapes are carefully harvested from the cool, coastal vineyards surrounding the Etang de Thau, the second-largest lake in France. This unique region is home to some of the most exceptional Viognier, which we craft to highlight the purity of its fruit and the unmistakable 'goût de terroir'.

Winemaking

The aromatic qualities of Viognier develop at a specific point in its maturation process. Our winemaking team samples the grapes in August to determine the perfect day for harvest. After picking, the grapes undergo a brief period of skin-contact maceration. The juice is then gently pressed and carefully settled before fermentation at a low temperature.

Tasting Note

Enticingly aromatic with characteristic exotic stone fruit and honeysuckle, our dawn-picked Viognier is rich yet refreshingly dry.

Food Matching

With pasta and seafood.
