Producer Profile

For more than two decades, we've been making wine deep in the untamed corners of southern France. Our path has been one of exploration—discovering and rediscovering extraordinary vineyards and landscapes. From the rolling foothills and secret valleys beneath the iconic Pyrenees, through dramatic gorges, and out to the sun-warmed Mediterranean coast, every journey has brought us closer to the heart of this wild region.

Along the way, we've worked alongside dedicated growers—true craftsmen with a deep-rooted respect for their land. Their knowledge and passion continue to shape our wines. At Terres Fidèles, we create honest, small-batch wines that reflect this remarkable place—featuring old vine Grenache, Carignan, Malbec, Cinsault, Viognier, and more. These are wines with soul—crafted with integrity, inspired by nature, and born of the wild.

Viticulture

Mont Rocher Carignan Vieilles Vignes is made from low-yielding, 50-year-old vines grown in rugged limestone soils at the base of the Pyrenees. Bathed in generous sunshine, this area is renowned for producing Carignan of exceptional purity, with a vivid expression of fruit and a clear sense of place—what the French call goût de terroir.

Winemaking

Though rooted in tradition, this Carignan is made using modern winemaking methods. The grapes are de-stemmed and gently crushed, then fermented at controlled temperatures of around 23°C to preserve freshness and fruit character. The wine is matured in tanks, with a proportion (35%) aged briefly on French oak staves for three months to enhance texture and complexity. No new oak is used, allowing the varietal and terroir to shine through.

Tasting Notes

Lush, juicy, and utterly moreish. This old vine Carignan opens with generous aromas of ripe black cherry and subtle vanilla. On the palate, it's smooth and richly fruited, brimming with vibrant red berries and finishing with a refreshing lift and soft oak nuance.

Food Pairing

A fine match for warming casseroles, Sunday roast beef, or slow-braised lamb shanks.
